Cynhadledd yr Hawl i Dai Digonol: Beth Sy'n Bosibl

Ar Dachwedd 16 fe wnaethon ni gynnal cynhadledd "Yr Hawl i Dai Digonol: Beth Sy'n Bosibl" er mwyn dysgu am ddiwygiadau sylfaenol a wnaed i'r system tai mewn gwledydd ar draws Ewrop i greu systemau sydd yn gweithio er budd pobl a thrafod datrysiadau posibl yma yng Nghymru yn y cyfnod wrth i'r Llywodraeth baratoi papur gwyn ar yr angen i sicrhau tai digonol a rhenti teg.

Yn y dyddiau yn arwain at y gynhadledd fe wnaethon ni deithio i gymunedau ar draws Cymru gan siarad gyda phobl am broblemau tai a'r datrysiadau mae cymunedau yn eu rhoi ar waith er mwyn sicrahu tai i bobl leol.

On November 16 we held a conference "The Right to Adequate Housing: New Possibilities for Wales" conference in order to learn about basic reforms made to the housing system in countries across Europe to create systems that work for people's benefit and discuss possible solutions here in Wales in the period as the Government prepares a white paper on the need to ensure adequate housing and fair rents.

In the days leading up to the conference we visited communities across Wales to talk to people about housing problems and the solutions communities are implementing to secure housing for local people.

Adnabod y Problemau - Setting out the problems

Yn y sesiwn gyntaf fe wnaeth Sioned Hughes gadeirio trafodaeth rhwng Catrin O’Neill ar ran Siarter Cartrefi ac fel ymgyrchydd tai, y Cyng. Linda Evans sy'n ddeilydd portffolio Cartrefi ar Gabinet Cyngor Sir Gâr a Clarissa Corbisiero sy'n Gyfarwyddydd Polisi a Materion Allanol gyda Tai Cymunedol Cymru.

In the first session, Sioned Hughes chaired a discussion between Catrin O'Neill on behalf of Siarter Cartrefi and a housing campaigner; Cllr. Linda Evans, the Cabinet Member for Homes on Carmarthenshire Council's Cabinet and Clarissa Corbisiero, the Director of Policy and External Affairs with Community Housing Cymru.

Mae Dara Turnbull yn Gydlynydd Ymchwil gyda Housing Europe, fe wnaeth roi trosolwg o ymyraethau a chynlluniau sydd ar waith mewn gwledydd eraill Ewrop er mwyn mynd i'r afael â phroblemau tai.

Dara Turnbull is a Research Co-ordinator with Housing Europe, he gave an overview of interventions and measure in place in other European countries to tackle housing problems.

Solutions to housing problems: the white paper

Roedd y sesiwn olaf yn gyfle i drafod y ffordd ymlaen, gyda golwg ar bapur gwyn ar dai digonol mae disgwyl i'r Llywodraeth ei gyhoeddi yn 2024.

Dylan Iorwerth oedd yn arwain trafodaeth banel rhwng Mabon ap Gwynfor, Aelod o’r Senedd dros Ddwyfor Meirionnydd, John Griffiths, Aelod o'r Senedd dros Ddwyrain Casnewydd, Alicja Zalesinska sy'n Brif Weithredwr ar Tai Pawb ac yn siarad ar ran cynghrair Back the Bill a Walis George ar ran Cymdeithas yr Iaith.

The last session was an opportunity to discuss the way forward, in relation to a white paper on adequate housing which the Government is expected to publish in 2024.

Dylan Iorwerth led a panel discussion between Mabon ap Gwynfor, Member of the Senedd for Dwyfor Meirionnydd, John Griffiths, Member of the Senedd for Newport East, Alicja Zalesinska, Chief Executive of Tai Pawb and speaking on behalf of the Back the Bill alliance, and Wallis George on behalf of Cymdeithas yr Iaith.
