Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg has announced that it will give Thomas Cook, the travel agents that has banned its staff from speaking Welsh, three days to change its mind.
Dafydd Morgan Lewis, Campaigns Officer for Cymdeithas yr Iaith said:"We are giving Thomas Cook three days to change this policy and if this does not happen a demonstration will be held outside the Travel Agents' premises in Bangor at 1 o'clock on Friday June 15th to which everyone who feels strongly about this issue is invited.""It is a matter of great concern to us that this company has banned the staff from speaking Welsh. The whole affair is also further proof of the uselessness of the present Welsh Language Act and the need to have it replaced by a stronger version."
