Language Act Petition tour ends in Cardigan

Deiseb Deddf IaithCymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg, who have spent the last two weeks collecting signatures on their New Welsh language Act petition throughout Wales, will end the current phase of their campaign in Cardigan tomorrow (Saturday) .

Siwan Tomos, one of the leaders of the Language Act Campaign Group said:"Over the last fortnight we have been collecting thousands of signatures on our Language Act petition by visiting Swansea, Ammanford, Pontypridd, Cardiff, Newport, Aberystwyth, Llangefni, Caernarfon, Pwllheli, Dolgellau, and this particular phase of the campaign will come to an end in Cardigan tomorrow when we shall be collecting signatures on our petition between 11am and 3pm.""The Language Act campaign took a major step forward when Adam Price MP (Plaid Cymru), Eleanor Burnham AM (Liberal Democrats) and Lisa Francis AM (Conservatives) gave their support to the campaign in a public meeting on the National Eisteddfod field in Swansea.""We will continue collecting signatures on the petition until October.
