Language campaign group Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg has reacted to the Government's Welsh Language strategy. Ceri Phillips, from Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg (The Welsh Language Society) commented:"We welcome the government's honesty about the state of the language, particularly the focus on language use. But, although there are a number of good ideas in the strategy, we are concerned about the willingness of the civil services to implement the plans. The lack of definite targets is also a matter of concern.""Will the civil service continue to make English the language of the workplace? If so, it raises the question of how important normalising the Welsh language and increasing its use is to them. Without proactive steps from the Welsh Government itself, there's no hope of getting other bodies to change their practices."
