Following the increased pressure to close Ysgol Ysbyty Ystwyth, Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg have contacted the leader of the Ceredigon Council, to ask if it is now the intention of the council to cut corners and get rid of village schools in their attempt to save money. Cymdeithas yr Iaith believe that the council has added unneccessary pressure on the parents of the school this week.
In the letter, Cymdeithas are also asking why the council has taken this crucial step, only a few weeks before there are two important papers regarding the future of village schools will be released by the Assembly.
