Rhowch ran i fewnfudwyr yn nyfodol ein cymunedau Cymraeg, medd Cymdeithas

Wrth fynegi siom fod Cabinet Ceredigion wedi dilyn llwybr "rhagweladwy" o gychwyn ymgynghori statudol ar gynnig i gau dwy ysgol bentrefol arall dywed y Gymdeithas mai trwy'r ysgolion pentrefol hyn y mae modd tynnu mewnfudwyr ifainc i'r sir i mewn i'r bywyd Cymraeg.

Esbonia Ffred Ffransis, llefarydd addysg Cymdeithas yr Iaith:

Students target Morrisons

Students have pasted posters in the Morrisons store in Aberystwyth as part of a national campaign against the supermarket because of its lack of Welsh language services.

Myfyrwyr yn targedu Morrisons

Mae myfyrwyr Cell Pantycelyn wedi pastio posteri ar siop Morrisons yn Aberystwyth fel rhan o ymgyrch genedlaethol Cymdeithas yr Iaith yn erbyn yr archfarchnad oherwydd diffyg gwasanaethau Cymraeg.

School condemned without visit

Cymdeithas yr Iaith has criticised a report presented to Ceredigion County Council that recommends the closure of a Welsh-medium village school, the author of which has neither visited the school or spoken to anyone connected specifically with the school.

Condemnio ysgol heb ymweliad

Rydym wedi beirniadu adroddiad a gyflwynwyd i Gyngor Sir Ceredigion sydd yn argymell cau ysgol bentref Gymraeg heb fod awdur yr adroddiad wedi ymweld â'r ysgol na siarad ag unrhyw un sy'n gysylltiedig yn benodol gyda'r ysgol.

'Mae'r caneuon pop gorau yn rhai gwleidyddol'

Cyfarfu cerddorion adnabyddus yn y sîn roc Gymraeg yn Aber

No one will want to live in communities without services

The Dyffryn Teifi branch of Cymdeithas yr Iaith has sent a message to the First Minister to thank him for his interest in the Valley, but have called for action to save local services in order that young people can settle in the area.

Myfyrwyr Aberystwyth yn anfodlon gyda gwasanaeth Cymraeg Morrisons

Mae myfyrwyr Cell Pantycelyn Aberystwyth yn siomedig gyda gwasanaethau Cymraeg Morrisons wedi iddyn nhw gynnal arolwg yn siop Aberystwyth.

Mae'r arolwg yn rhan o ymgyrch genedlaethol gan Gymdeithas yr Iaith sydd yn gofyn i bobl ddweud y byddan nhw'n penderfynu peidio siopa yn Morrisons o fis Rhagfyr ymlaen, nes i'r siop roi chwarae teg i'r Gymraeg.

Accusing bank of ignoring Welsh-speaking communities

Cymdeithas yr Iaith has accused the NatWest Bank of ignoring Welsh-speaking communities following their decision, announced today, to close a number of branches in Carmarthenshire and Dyffryn Teifi - including Llandysul, Llanybydder and Hendy Gwyn (Whitland). The information was conveyed to customers in an English-only circular letter from Huw Thomas, the "Local CEO" of the NatWest, who urged customers to turn to the bank's English-language online banking services or to the Post Office.

Concern that county council is considering cutting its support for Welsh language

Less than two years after the number of Welsh speakers fell below half the county's population Cymdeithas yr Iaith has noted its concern that Ceredigion County Council is considering cuts to its investment in Welsh.
